Laughter land

Written by

Laughter land was released in Japan in late October of 2006. This is a yaoi game. In other words, this is a hentai game for girls. Yaoi game does not necessarily mean it is for girls, but its main target is.
Everyone in this game is voiced, even the main character (Dick) and even one-time extras.
The game's visual (CG, BGM, songs, and screen effects) are top quality.

No He & She in Korean, really? Nope

Written by

There is something I learned a long time ago while translating Korean into English.

It is that Korean language does not really care whether subjects are male or female sometimes. Make no mistake: Korean language does have full capacity of clearly indicating whether a person is a male or a female in subject.

There are in fact various ways to say whether a person you are taking about is a male or a female.

Nobunaga no Yabo 13

Written by

Nobunaga no yabo 13, its official name is Nobunaga no yabo : Tendo.

This game was released in Japan on September 18th 2010, but the game itself was leaked on 12nd. This 13rd installation of Koei's longest running game has brought in realism over simplicity. This 13rd installation is a very much enhanced version of Nobunaga no yabo 12. It uses the same concept : Real time game progression and everything happens on a unified map.

In order for you to enjoy this game, it is absolutely necessary that you need to know Japanese history, especially Sengoku era. Otherwise, this game will become very boring and repetitive for you.
Nobunaga no yabo 12nd review is also avaiable at this site.

In 12nd installation, concept of fief was too simplified. You conquer a castle associated with a fief and you acquire a fief. In 13rd installation, it is not so simple and historical realism takes its place.

Pianissimo is Innocent Gray's 3rd hentai game, which was released in late October of 2006.

This game, even while being a hentai game, is high quality in CG, BGM, and story. Everyone, except the main character, in this game is voiced.
The game's theme is murder and darkness followed by Jazz-influenced music and songs. You play role of Sousuke Kudoh, a red-haired tall / handsome pianist. Sousuke lives with his younger sister, Yukuha Kudoh. Sousuke's life has been fine. He plays the piano in a friend's bar and gets paid for it. Everything is peaceful until you are attacked by a woman in Kimono one night. She is frenzied and wounds Sousuke quite badly but he does manage to knock her down and escape with a sudden involvement of Ayane Shirakawa.

Taikou Risshiden 5 - Another view

Written by

Before I begin this role playing review of Taikou Risshiden 5, here are few things you need to be aware of.

I've already made a long review of this game years ago back in 2008. The URL is It's a really long review, so be prepared if you want to read it. And the review I did could not cover even half of the game.

First of all, I am going to explain a little about Sengoku era of Japan. Sengoku era of Japan has been heavily commercialized for many Japanese productions: games, drama, movie, anime, manga - everything cultural.

Length warning!: An extremely LONG review. This was also abandoned midway.

Taikou Risshiden 5

Taikou Risshiden 5

This review was imported from which I wrote originally back in August 2009. Since I closed JanimeS, I moved the review here.

Taikou Risshiden series has been one of Koei's stray product. However, still the series has gone to V.

This article will tell you about Taikou Risshiden V.
Like Koei's Nobunaga no Yabo series, this game also requires you to have extensive knowledge about Japan's Sengoku period in order to find potential entertainment / fun while playing the game.

Taikou Risshiden series is unlike other Koei games. This game allows as much freedom as possible within game boundaries. You, as a person in Japan, are not forced to serve a clan. There are few career paths in the game : doctor, blacksmith, pirate, ninja,, swordsman, and of course being shogun of Japan. Obviously, trying to become a shogun will consume the most of time compared to other professions.

Additionally, you aren't also forced to have just one profession. It is possible to serve a daimyo while being a doctor / blacksmith. Being a ninja or a pirate will prevent you from joining a daimyo however.

You are given little choices in scenario at the beginning, but as you finish the game with characters, more scenario will be opened. What you see at the screenshots are when you unlock all available scenario.
